FISHING GEAR

Rods:
We suggest rods of 20, 25 and 30 pounds with lengths of 5'6", 6' and 6'6"

Reels:
Spinning and conventional reels with a gear ratio from 5,2:1 to 6,2:1 with a minimum capacity of 70 meters (210 feet) of line correspondent to the rod resistance.

Lines:
Monofilament type - choose models with low memory and good resistance to abrasion.
Multifilament type - choose models with greater resistance, since their bigger diameter decreases flashes and decreases probability of other problems that may occur.
Observation: Don't forget to put in the spool, before the multifilament line, a few meters of monofilament to insure adhesion.

Lures:
Artificial lures, due to the large amount of manufacturers, both domestic and foreign, and the large variety of models and colors, will be discussed generically, but we'll aid you in making the correct decisions with the following pointers and tips:

- Surface Lures: Concentrate on models with dimensions ranging from 12 to 25 centimeters and take special care with colors (one model with two colors).
Types of surface lures: Poppers, Zaras, Pencil, Sticks and models with propellers (very efficient)
- Middle water lures: Concentrate on dimension and variety of colors.
Observation: verify all lures thoroughly, since several manufacturers do not use strong treble hooks and strong rings. We recommend treble hooks 4x and 5x strong.

Accessories:
- (1) Needle nose pliers (good for changing treble hooks)
- (1) Retention pliers (grip type)
- Several treble hooks and rings (strong ones) - Replacement lines
- Polarized glasses (protection against accidents with hooks)
- (1) Small flashlight
- (1) Knife or Pocketknife
- (1) Sharpener stone
- (1) Snaps (to change the lures quickly)
- Leader lines (flour carbon)
- Cameras, camcorders, films, batteries, etc..
Observation: Due to the charter flight, its necessary that you pack in a small luggage.
